Seven months pregnant and living at Chrysalis House, a long-term treatment center for pregnant women in Lexington, Kentucky, she was working every day to build a stable life and reclaim her future, holding onto the hope of one day reuniting with her other two children.
But as her due date approached, a quiet fear crept in. Anna didn’t have anything ready for the baby. No diapers. No clothes. Noformula. Not even a bag to bring to the hospital. She had come so far, but this part felt out of reach.

Through a partnership with the NEST, a local parenting resource center, he connected her to everything: newborn clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, a diaper bag, and even a backpack. He also set her up for monthly visits to continue receiving that kind of help, along with parenting classes and daycare access for when she’s employed again.
What began as a moment of crisis became a turning point. With Wayspring’s support, Anna was able to welcome her healthy newborn with confidence and keep moving forward. She has since made remarkable strides in her recovery, transitioning into the next phase of the Chrysalis program, which provides greater independence. Together, she and Triton have already submitted several housing applications, laying the foundation for a more secure future.
