Solutions Improvement Updates – October 2024

Solutions is excited to announce that we officially launched our pilot with DRIPs on October 1st! Drips is an automated two-way SMS communication tool that we hypothesize will re-engage certain hard-to-reach members using a new modality. We have already seen promising results in our outreach to disengaged members and transfers to our CES staff. Huge shoutout to Joel Campbell and James Cardamone for getting this over the finish line!

On the technology front, Solutions and Engineering are as busy as ever, working on several exciting projects impacting both Member Operations and Clinical Operations. Near-term projects include overhauling how Member Operations managers reassign caseloads, and allowing direct clinic registration and scheduling from a member interactions in Pathways. Additional upcoming projects are Pathways Tasks, which will replace the manual and burdensome tracking of Member Operations’ clinic requests through Microsoft Forms and Teams with a concise queue in Pathways for CCNs. and automating the creation of External Provider Action Plans, which should help Wayspring better track our members’ follow-up care following utilization events, driving better outcomes. While not reflected in last month’s update, we finalized and launched the new Community Outreach Specialist (COS) role in Pathways, now live and being used to enroll and engage high-touch members in-person throughout Delaware.

On a final note, we are excited to be working with Wayspring’s new Vice President of Engineering, Tim Nickson. We have already made great strides since he started, with an emphasis on improving internal collaboration between Solutions and Engineering.

While this update only provides a high-level overview of our projects, please reach out if you have any questions or want more detail. We love your questions and ideas.
